Run catering orders through the pipeline

Updated July 4, 2026

Catering requests deserve better than a sticky note. The Catering tab runs each one as a real order through a pipeline: InquiryQuotedConfirmedIn PrepReadyFulfilled.

  1. An inquiry arrives (from your catering form or entered by you). Build it out with real line items from your catalog — trays, sides, quantities.
  2. Generate the quote — the line items compile into a total the customer can say yes to.
  3. On Confirmed, the items and money lock. Changing a confirmed order means re-quoting — which is exactly the discipline that prevents "but you said $400" disputes.
  4. Move it through prep to Fulfilled on the day, like any order.

Note: Catering supports pickup, delivery, or on-site fulfillment per order. And remember your large-order lead hours apply to catering-size orders placed through the storefront.
