Set up your menu
Updated July 4, 2026
Your menu lives in the Catalog section. Customers only ever see items you've published, so you can build in peace and go live when you're ready.
Add your items
- Open Catalog in the dashboard sidebar.
- Create your categories (collections) first — Appetizers, Mains, Drinks — so items have a home.
- Add each item with its name, description, price, and a photo. Items can have size or portion variants, each with its own price.
- Hit Create + publish to make an item live, or save it unpublished as a draft. You can flip any item between Publish and Unpublish later.
Modifiers: sizes, toppings, and choices
Modifier groups handle everything customers pick when ordering an item — spice level, toppings, sides. For each group you control whether it's required, how many choices are allowed (minimum and maximum), which options are pre-selected, and how much each option adds to the price. An option can even be free or reduce the price.
Running out of something (86ing)
When you run out of an item mid-service, don't delete it — untick In stock on the item and customers can no longer order it (checkout blocks an out-of-stock item). Individual modifier options can be marked out of stock the same way. Note: today the toggle stops the item from being ordered rather than hiding its card from the menu, so it may still appear until you re-stock.
