Preview and publish

Updated July 4, 2026

The Site Builder keeps two versions of your page content: the draft you're editing and the live pages customers see. Your page edits don't cross over until you publish — with one exception, noted below.

  • Autosave — every edit saves to the draft within moments. Close the tab mid-edit and nothing is lost.
  • Preview — a preview link shows the draft exactly as it will render, so you can check it before publishing. Keep this link to yourself, though: it loads your unpublished draft by carrying your own admin session, so it isn't a safe "forward to anyone" link. To show a partner, publish and share the live URL, or send a screenshot.
  • Publish — one button promotes all your page-content drafts to live together, atomically — no half-published in-between state.
  • The design exception — brand settings in Design and typography in Builder Settings don't wait for Publish: they save to your live site as you change them. So Publish is really about your page *content*.
Screenshot coming soon: The Publish button with the draft status line, and a preview window open beside the editor.

Pages show their state at a glance — Draft — never published for pages that haven't gone live yet, and Live with a timestamp once they have.
