Understand your P&L

Updated July 4, 2026

P&L (Pro plan) assembles a real profit-and-loss view from data you already generate: orders for revenue, recipes for cost of goods, your published schedule for labor — plus the costs you configure once. (Labor uses scheduled hours, so keep your schedule accurate; it doesn't yet recompute from actual clock punches.)

The daily statement

Each day reads top to bottom: gross revenue, tax out, net revenue; then COGS (from recipe ingredient costs), labor (wages plus burden), your controllable expenses, and occupancy — down to net profit. The KPI row translates it into the ratios restaurant people actually talk in: prime cost %, labor %, net margin %, and sales per labor hour.

Cost Setup: the one-time chore

Revenue, COGS, and labor flow in automatically. The Cost Setup tab is where you add the rest — rent, insurance, supplies — each as a fixed monthly amount, a percent of sales, or entered as it happens. Twenty minutes here is what turns "revenue tracker" into an actual P&L.

Note: The KPI health bands give you instant context — prime cost shows green under 60%, warns through the mid-60s, and flags red beyond. If prime cost is red, the answer is in Menu intelligence (margin) or the schedule (labor) — and both are one click away.
