Work the orders queue

Updated July 4, 2026

The Orders section is your working queue — every order walks the same path from paid to done. Refresh it to pull in new orders (the kitchen display updates live on its own; the Orders section refreshes when you load or reload it).

The order lifecycle

An order moves through these stages: PaidConfirmedIn PrepReady for PickupOut for Delivery (delivery orders) → Completed. Two more exist around the edges: Pending Payment (a checkout that hasn't finished paying — kept out of your active queue) and Cancelled.

  • Next stage — the one-tap button walks each order along one fixed sequence, a step at a time (it reads Done once completed). Heads up: that sequence includes Out for Delivery for every order, so on a pickup order you'll tap past that label on the way to Completed — it's just a step, not a real dispatch.
  • Active / Closed / All — filters for the working queue (everything in flight), finished business (completed or cancelled), and the full history.
  • Each card shows the order number, payment badge, customer name, desired time, fulfillment type, and the items.
Screenshot coming soon: The Orders queue with several active orders, one showing the Next stage button.
Note: Running a kitchen display? The KDS updates live as orders come in and get bumped. The Orders section reflects the same underlying orders — reload it to see the latest.
