Your Sales tax rate lives in the Operations area of Settings. Set it once to your local combined rate and every order calculates tax automatically.
- What's taxed — the food subtotal plus the delivery fee.
- What isn't — tips are never taxed, and discounts come off before tax is calculated.
- Precision — the field takes up to four decimal places, so rates like 8.25% land exactly.
Heads up: KitchenRush applies the rate you enter — it doesn't look up your jurisdiction's rules. Confirm your local rate (and whether your locality taxes delivery fees differently) with your accountant, especially after rate changes.
