Coupons and promo codes
Updated July 4, 2026
Coupons live in the Catalog section. Each is a code a customer enters at checkout, with a type and guardrails.
The three coupon types
- Percentage — a percent off the order.
- Fixed amount — a dollar amount off the order.
- Free delivery — a delivery-incentive code. Note that today it applies as a credit toward the order rather than a strict delivery-only waiver, so set the amount with that in mind.
Guardrails
- Minimum order — the code only applies at or above a subtotal you set.
- Usage cap — limit total redemptions, or leave it unlimited.
- Expiry — set an end date, or let it run.
- Active toggle — pause a code without deleting it.
Note: Important: creating a coupon automatically announces it to your opted-in subscribers — a one-time "New coupon" email and SMS (where texting's enabled), subject to your send quota. So don't spin up test coupons against your live audience. Separately, the trigger-type options (first-order, win-back, birthday) don't auto-fire on those events yet, so for targeted use treat the code as a manual one you share (print it, post it, text it); the guardrails above do the enforcing.
