How money flows on KitchenRush

Updated July 4, 2026

Every card payment settles into your own connected Stripe account — the one you connect in Payments & Payouts. KitchenRush never holds your money; it only takes its 5% fee as the payment settles.

The path of a card order

  1. A customer pays by card on your website (or by keyed card at the register).
  2. Stripe settles the charge into your connected account, with the 5% platform fee on the food subtotal deducted automatically — see When the platform fee applies.
  3. The money lands in your Stripe balance as pending, then becomes available after Stripe's settlement window (typically a couple of business days).
  4. Your balance pays out to your bank on the schedule you choose — daily by default.

Cash is different

Cash orders never touch Stripe or KitchenRush — the money goes straight into your drawer, and no platform fee is deducted. KitchenRush just records the order so your reporting stays complete.

Note: Because the money is in your Stripe account, your balance, payouts, and bank arrivals are all real Stripe data — what you see in Payments & Payouts is read live, not a copy. (Reconciling in Stripe itself? Most sales appear directly in your account; some, depending on how they were charged, show as platform-routed transfers into your account — either way the funds are yours.)
